WGN- Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital on Aug. 29, 2017. In recognition of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation's $3.5 million contribution to Lurie Children's back in May, the hospital's 18th floor waiting room was named "The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation Waiting Room." A cancer survivor himself, Rizzo regularly visits with kids at Lurie Children's and understands the financial hardships many families encounter when paying for treatment.
