Government Under Pressure to Change Child Refugee Policy

VOICED: Good Evening. The Prime Minister is under increasing pressure this evening to reinstate a policy of providing homes for child refugees. Theresa May was accused of a 'very shabby cop out' over the government's decision to scrap a programme to welcome 3,000 children fleeing the war in Syria. Only 350 have come to Britain so far. And today campaigners - led by the man who persuaded the government to make that commitment originally - took a petition signed by tens of thousands of people to Downing Street. Our senior political correspondent Robert Nisbet reports. Contains black holes where third party content has been removed. Interviews with Lord Alfred Dubs, Campaigner, Kahlid Mohammed, Sudanese Refugee, Dame Stephanie Shirley, Former child refugee in London and Calais Jungle on February 11, 2017 in London, England and Calais, France.
