An Israeli man looks at a destroyed bus

BEERSHEVA, ISRAEL: An Israeli man looks at a destroyed bus at the scene of a twin suicide bombing of two buses in the southern Israeli town of Beersheva 31 August 2004. At least 15 people were killed, as well as two bombers, and more than 80 wounded in the attacks, police and medical sources said. Ten of those being treated in hospital were in either serious or critical condition, said sources from Magen David Adom, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross. An anonymous spokesman for the radical Palestinian movement Hamas claimed responsibility for the attacks. AFP PHOTO/Pedro UGARTE (Photo credit should read PEDRO UGARTE/AFP via Getty Images)
