Leitzalarrea is a natural area in the municipality of Leitza (Navarra), and offers slightly altered, in a remote and beautiful setting, where you can walk around and interact with forest vegetation and wildlife.Leitzalarrea is an extraordinary place, and very important from the point of view of nature. Comprising roughly half the field Leitza and is populated mostly by beech and oak. They are also abundant grasslands and fern.The megalithic monuments scattered throughout the field show us the antiquity of human presence in Leitzalarrea. Also during centuries mining was important in the area and still many traces and residues of the old ironworks are maintained. Currently the main economic activities of the environment are livestock and forestry work.
