MAMBUKAL, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, PHILIPPINES - 2014/03/08: Megabats Megachiroptera family Pteropodidae are also called fruit bats, flying foxes or Chiroptera. Contrary to its name, megabats are not always large although largest have a wingspan of one and a half meters and can weigh in at up to 1.5 kilos. Most fruit bats have large eyes, allowing them to orient themselves visually inside caves, at twilight and in dark forests. Their sense of smell is excellent.
