Protests Held Outside Israeli Consulate In Istanbul

ISTANBUL, TURKEY - MAY 10: Protesters chant slogans and wave flags outside the Israeli Consulate during a protest against Israel on May 10, 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey. Tensions have risen in Jerusalem over the ordered forced evictions of Palestinian families living in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem and over clashes that erupted inside the Al-Aqsa mosque after Israeli forces entered the compound during Friday prayers. Jerusalem continues to be on high alert as today marks the national Jewish holiday 'Jerusalem Day' which celebrates Israeli control over the old city in the aftermath of the six-day war in 1967. The celebrations consist of a 'Flag March' through the city with the route passing through the Damascus Gate, which has been the epicenter of clashes over the past few days.
