Princess Juliana with Her Daughters
(Original Caption) The Three Dutch Princesses At Home. In a stone house in an Ottawa suburb - A little gray house with a delft blue roof - dwells the succession to the Crown of Holland. Here live the Princess Juliana, heir to the Crown of Holland and the Dutch possessions beyond the seas, and her flaxen-haired daughters, Irene, 2.5 years old, and Beatrix, 4 years old. The two youngsters are living the lives of Canadian children in every respect. These pictures show the three princesses at home. Here Juliana quizzes the two little princesses. Beatrix, who is at left, is four and a student at Elmwood Preparatory School, where she's called "Trix." Irene is two and a half.
