The UNESCO world heritage site of the Ellora cave complex on 12th December 2009 in Maharashtra state, near Mumbai, India. It is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world, featuring incredibly well preserved Hindu, Buddhist and Jain monuments and artwork, dating from the 6001000 CE period.
