204 km of security wall completed on Turkiye-Iran Border

VAN, TURKIYE - SEPTEMBER 16: Turkish border units patrol the border which is kept under control with security walls, trenches, ditches and technological investments as troops work 24/7 in the steep and rugged geography with an altitude of 2,500 meters in Van, Turkiye on September 16, 2025. Out of the planned security wall, 204 kilometers have been completed, while construction work is ongoing on the remaining 91 kilometers. Along the border line, electro-optic towers, elevator-equipped watchtowers, and radar surveillance systems have been installed, enabling continuous monitoring by the Turkish Armed Forces (Mehmetcik).
