Two workers of the Brunei Shell Petroleum company
SERIA, BRUNEI DARUSSALAM: Two workers of the Brunei Shell Petroleum company repair an oil pipe valve in Seria, the oil town of Brunei 09 January. The oil-rich Sultanate produces 150,000 barrels of oil and 25 million cubic meters of gas a day. Oil and gas account for more than 95 per cent of the county's export revenues, which totalled to 2.1 billion USD in 1994 with gross national product totalling to 3.98 billion USD. Its oil and gas are exported to Japan, U.S. and neighboring Southeast Asian countries. The country's oil and gas reserves may last for about 30 years, according to experts.
