Brown bears / grizzly bears gather at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park and Preserve, Alaska, to fish and feed on the sockeye salmon as they swim up the river and attempt to jump up the waterfall to spawn. The bears will line up across the “lip” of the waterfall and catch or attempt to catch the salmon when they are in midair, as they jump up the waterfall.
