However this parish was one of the two extinct, having annexed the present parish of Vera Cruz. The Church of Our Lady of the Presentation is the parish church of Aveiro. Built on a chapel dedicated to S. Gonçalo, it had two distinct parts, in which its construction belonged to the first part of the century. In the second half of this century suffered a modification.
