The female performers of the vent, clad in the traditional clothing of Thar region of southeastern province of Sindh, are watching a folk dance performance which is going on before the audience during a cultural show held at the Mohatta Palace, Karachi. Women of Thar desert generally wear their cultural dressing of ghaghra cholis which may be of either polyester or silk and are mostly embroidered. Colored stones, tinsels and silken threads are used to create beautiful floral patterns and traditional motifs and enhance the rich look of their dress.
