NEW YORK, NY – APRIL 18, 2019: High School, Junior High School and Elementary students rallied in downtown Manhattan's City Hall Park. Demonstrators in downtown Manhattan rallied in the City Hall Park and marched across the Brooklyn Bridge demanding the New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to stop the building of the Williams Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) fracked gas pipeline. This event also brings light on the subject of the Green New Deal which is a set of proposed economic stimulus programs in the United States that aims to address climate change and economic inequality.
