Hancock says there was a lot of prayer to get to London, last year was the bottom of his shooting career, he had some of the worst finishes he had ever come across, he wasn’t enjoying himself anymore, his wife said if you’re not enjoying it than you shouldn’t be doing it, they thought and prayed about it, it took a couple of months, but this is what he loves to do, he re-set his goals and coming here was the first step to building his legacy and trying to pass on the knowledge he’s built on for 13 years, one of the great things about his sport is they have a pretty long tenure, his first Olympics was when he was 19, this is his second at 23, doing this in 2020 is doable, the average age is 35, he’s got plenty of time left in him, he was able to bring his wife and youngest child along (his wife Rebeka, holding Brenlyn is seen), Brenlyn did really well, she slept almost the entire flight, she’s a great baby, he speaks to his 2-year-old daughter Bailey who is at home with his grandparents, he notes his gold medal will be passed onto her too.
