In interview Theresa says people say she looks and acts like her mom except she doesn't drink, stays home, make the kids go to school, do the clothes, do the cooking. In interview Theresa says before she walked in that house she wished on a star to be taken away from her mother. In voice over and interview Steven says he took off through the back window and ran back to their house, he was looking for Frank and started to cry when he couldn't find him. In interview Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Jean Pierce (ph) says imagine what they had been going through, seperated, scared, didn't know what would happen next. Pierce walks past probation administration landscape sign. Pierce walks into building past sign for the Maricopa County CASA program seen. Pierce says hello to woman in office. Pierce talks in office. Still of the children smiling seen. In interview Pierce says it (reuniting all children for visits) was so great, they were hugging each other and happy to see each other. Panning shots on still of the children seen. Pierce says she could see the fear on their faces, they would ask if they would ever have a normal home and she wasn't sure she could ever say yes. In interview Shirley says when she (Maria) came she was three years old and very quiet, I just remember big brown scared eyes. Van eats pie as Shirley washes dishes in kitchen. In interview Pierce says Theresa would never respond in a normal emotional way, she would laugh a lot, she would say she was doing fine when she wasn't.
