In interview Jacqueline says she was propositioned by an officer and didn't acknowledge it, she was frightened she would never get out of prison because he had the power to keep her there, she was written three misconduct tickets which kept her there an extra nine and a half months. In interview former Michigan prison guard Patricia Hibbs says if another officer writes a ticket and it is thrown out, a friend would write another one and make sure it stuck. In interview Michigan Department of Corrections director Bill Martin says retaliation will not be tolerated as an exceptable form of supervision. In interview Martin says 24 (sustained complaints) does seem like a lot, he won't suggest 24 will be tolerated, everyone is a breach of security. Martin says (justice department report of prurient viewing during dressing, showering and use of toilet) would be inappropriate when factual. Martin says prior to the late 70s men worked in men facilities and women worked in women facilities but that all changed. Martin works at desk in office. In interview Martin says officers are trained in the appropriate way to pat down inmates and by and large do a good job. In interview Michigan Department of Corrections Director Bill Martin says the captain (Sizemore) and the other staff members acted appropriately and pursuant to policy. Martin says it is not uncommon when an inmate behaves as such to put themselves in jeapordy that they would gas an inmate's cell but they first get the approval of the warden and health care. In interview former Florida Corrections officer and current prisoner Kenneth Smith (ph) says he was called robocop by the inmates because he strictly enforced rules. Prison tower seen. In interview Florida State Senator Mandy Dawson says there had been years of allegations against this individual (Smith). Dawson and Rivera in interview in empty courtroom seen. In interview Dawson says it was as though he (Smith) had a license to steal, there was nothing anyone was going to do about that, that is frightening. Prison gate and towers seen. In interview Norton says the excuse that we didn't have the goods will become credible when there are fair systems to sort out fact, those systems do not exist in the prison systems of the United States today. In interview attorney Laurie Lockshin (ph) says she didn't want to have sex with him but he forced her, he grabbed her panties down then sexually battered her. In interview Dawson says there is a mindset that suggests it is an ok thing to do, they are just women behind bars. Dawson says in the state of Florida it is open season because it is not an issue that we want to talk about. Rivera reports on camera in parking lot as prison representative and guards walk on sidewalk towards him. In interview on sidewalk the prison official tells Rivera the rape victim is here (in prison) but this was beyond our control (cancelling of scheduled interview), it is under the control of the Department of Correction and he would like for ya'll to leave is all he has to say. In interview Lucas' attorney Geri Lynn Green says Lucas' complaints never made it out of the prison. Green takes book to desk in office. In interview and voice over Green says they were leaked back to the perpetrators of these abuses, she was told she would be found hanging, there would be urine and feces in her food and the retaliation was brutal. In interview Lucas says the only person with the keys and handcuffs is the officer and the officer on duty was Garfield Samuels.
