EXT DAY AFGHANISTAN WS: Helicopters fly overhead in a military parade. INT A VOA STUDIO Shot pans from a microphone to a man speaking. Clip of a VOA personality speaking in a foreign language. EXT DAY AFGHANISTAN WS: Women stand in the market. WS: People walk through a market. MS: Hand holding a radio. WS: Several men stand around a radio. MS: A man holding radio. WS: Rad and Mowandi sit with Gangel for interview. MS: During interview Mowandi discusses what kind of influence she thinks she and Rad have in Afghanistan. VO: Rad nods as Mowandi comments. MS: During interview Rad says that she and Mowandi are very honest and get letters acknowledging that from listeners. EXT DAY WASHIGTON, DC Shot zooms out from the entrance to VOA studios revealing cars passing by. MS: Department Of State sign outside of the State Department. INT SUPER: Spinning tape reels with a still of Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar supered over it as an audio clip of a broadcast is heard. INT THE STATE DEPARTMENT MS: During a press conference State Department spokesman Richard Boucher says "Considering the fact that the U.S. tax payers pay for this considering the fact that this is the voice of America we don't think that the head of the Taliban belongings on this radio station. EXT DAY WS: Former VOA director Sanford Unger (ph) walks down the street. INT MS: During interview Unger says "The State Department is understandably eager to support U.S. policy in this crisis and there is a crisis but, it's a great mistake to think they can turn the Voice of America into a propaganda agency it won't work people don't want propaganda from the Voice of America we don't do propaganda very well in America we do news". INT THE CAPITOL BUILDING IN WASHINGTON, DC WS: Republican California Representative Ed Royce walks down a hallway. MS: During interview Royce says "If we're going in to a war and we're going to face Afghans that have heard day in and day out lies from their government it is necessary to go up twelve hours a day with radio broadcasts in their language by people who are Afghans telling them the truth about what's happening inside their country". INT VOA STUDIOS MS: A radio personality during a broadcast. MS: During interview de Nesnera says "We have built creditability over decades and it is very very easy to lose it". MS: A VOA personality is seen during a broadcast. Panning shot of the studio during a broadcast. EXT DAY ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN WS: Taliban Ambassador to Pakistan Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef sits with an unidentified man during a broadcast. WS: Rad and Mowandi sit with Gangel for interview. MS: During interview Mowandi says that the Taliban listens to the VOA because they want to know what the world thinks of them and that she asks a journalist who interviewed some Taliban officials about how the Taliban knows about American and that it was because they listen to the VOA.
