First up today, of course, as we mentioned, is the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. A lots of folks out there sharing their personal stories, their memories, their pictures from after the storm. One set of photos that really caught our attention came from photographer Carlos Baria (ph). In 2005 Carlos was on the ground to document the destruction. A decade later, he returned to those same locations to see the progress of the city, as it's still working to recover from the disaster, some really striking images of the-- the before and the after. CARSON DALY: He went right back to the same places? ERICA HILL: Yeah. DYLAN DREYER: You could see how the picture kind of lines up with-- with the back on his-- CARSON DALY: Oh, that's cool. Yeah, yeah. Yes, yes. Yeah. ERICA HILL: Such a cool way to display it. CARSON DALY: Very cool. Here is a story that brings up the age-old question, should you always leave a tip no matter what the service? A New Jersey waitress says she took care of a table of eight. Their bill came two hundred twelve dollars. And instead of a tip, they left this message. One hour for food and they put LOL where the tip-- ERICA HILL: Ouch. CARSON DALY: --amount should go. The picture of the receipt, you see there, went viral. So is it okay to ever sort of skip out on a tip if you feel that the service was poor or do you just tip regardless? What do you guys follow? DYLAN DREYER: I-- I always tip twenty. And if it's good and I'm having a good time, I'll go over twenty percent. ERICA HILL: Yeah. My standard-- CARSON DALY: You mean if the service is bad? DYLAN DREYER: Yeah. Because it's like that’s how-- ERICA HILL: I worked in restaurants forever. I'm with you. My standard is twenty. DYLAN DREYER: Right. ERICA HILL: If the service is bad, I tip fifteen. DYLAN DREYER: Mm-Hm. ERICA HILL: But also because, you know, I mean I was a waitress at one point making barely three dollars an hour, so. CARSON DALY: That’s the thing. If you ever worked in the service industry at all, you-- DYLAN DREYER: And it's not all of the waitress's fault. CARSON DALY: --you have to tip. ERICA HILL: Yeah. DYLAN DREYER: Yes. CARSON DALY: I-- you know what I actually do in that situation? Hundred and twelve, eleven the double-- decimal-- I would have left like forty dollars like I'll kill it with kindness. ERICA HILL: Yeah. DYLAN DREYER: Yeah. ERICA HILL: Yeah. We overdo it. Yeah. CARSON DALY: The worse it is, the more I’ll tip. But you have to. You have to take care of it. SHEINELLE JONES: And a hundred twelve dollars. That means they had a lot of food. (Cross talking) ERICA HILL: Yeah. CARSON DALY: Yeah. SHEINELLE JONES: Yeah. CARSON DALY: Plus, I'm very famous. So if I don't, then-- ERICA HILL: It's true. Then the meme is that Carson Daly, cheap-- CARSON DALY: No. You’ve got-- I think-- I think you’ve got to tip. DYLAN DREYER: Yeah. CARSON DALY: I mean you got to do what you can do. DYLAN DREYER: Yeah. CARSON DALY: And that was rude just writing LOL, by the way. ERICA HILL: It was. I feel like you don't-- you don't need to go that far. CARSON DALY: Yeah. ERICA HILL: So none of us approve. SHEINELLE JONES: Yeah. ERICA HILL: Finally, if you’ve ever wondered what it's like to be slapped by a grizzly bear, you're probably crazy because we can all imagine it's not a good idea. But in case you were still curious, Brad Joseph is your man to go to. He had a GoPro with him on a recent trip to Alaska. And the grizzly bear, I would guess, was maybe not in the mood for the selfie. Look at this. Do we have it? There we go. Here's-- yeah. DYLAN DREYER: Oh. ERICA HILL: And see, Brad was not hurt. I don't think we can say the same about the camera. CARSON DALY: See that force. ERICA HILL: Yeah. DYLAN DREYER: I hope it wasn't a GoPro on like a helmet. I hope-- SHEINELLE JONES: Oh, yeah. DYLAN DREYER: --he would hold it there like this-- ERICA HILL: Right. SHEINELLE JONES: So the head is like-- DYLAN DREYER: --is got snapped by the bear. CARSON DALY: Wow. That's terrifying. Good footage, though. ERICA HILL: It is. It's great footage. Yeah.
