UNITED KINGDOM - MAY 14: Donald Glaser (b 1926) is an American physicist credited with inventing the bubble chamber. Glaser studied under Carl Anderson (1905-1991) in the late 1940s. He then moved to Michigan Unviersity where he developed the bubble chamber. In 1959 he moved to the University of California at Berkeley where he initially concentrated on high energy particle physics, but later turned to molecular genetics and neurobiology.
