Persian silk tree flowers and leaves (reverse side) - stock photo

Photo date: July 18, 2024 Photo location: Nabari City, Mie Prefecture, Japan The silk tree (Albizia julibrissin) is a deciduous tall tree of the Fabaceae family, subfamily Mimosa. At night, the leaflets close and hang down as they go to sleep, so in Japanese it is called "Nemu-no-ki" (Tree of Sleep). From June to July, delicate brush-ball-like purple flowers bloom here and there on the walls of rivers and canyons. The flowers in this photo were at the bank of the Dam. They are also flowers that know the rainy season.
