The Tokyo Rainbow Pride event returned this year in full after a four-year lull due to the pandemic. An LGBTQIA+ pride march was held in the city that coursed through the hip districts of Harajuku and Yoyogi Park in Shibuya on April 23. This year's theme was Press on Till Japan ChangesThe event puts a spotlight on the Japanese government's stance on LGBTQIA+ rights just ahead of the upcoming G7 Summit in Hiroshima.
