Hezbollah says its truck carrying ammunition overturns in Mount Lebanon, killing at least 2

MOUNT LEBANON, LEBANON - AUGUST 10: A truck belonging to Hezbollah overturned and caused a crash on a public road on Wednesday (August 9) in the Kahala district of the Mount Lebanon province in Lebanon, according Lebanese Hezbollah.The Lebanese army stated that the truck carried ammunition and an investigation on the issue is underway.In a statement Wednesday (Aug. 9), Hezbollah reported that a truck belonging to them overturned while it was en route from the eastern Bekaa region of the country to the capital, Beirut.The residents of Kahala, an area where the perennial rival Lebanese Forces Party is very active, attempted to seize the truck and its cargo, leading to a clash.As a result of the accident, a Hezbollah-affiliated militia member and a resident of Kahala lost their lives.Lebanon's Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, indicated that they were closely monitoring the incident in coordination with the Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, Joseph Aoun.
